🏔 The Mt. Everest Run – October 18th

On October 18th, join Beat the Streets New England for our biggest and most important fundraiser of the year – The Mt. Everest Singlet Run.

The Challenge

Fundraisers will form teams up to 10, and together your team will run up Jenckes Hill in Providence until you reach the collective distance to summit Mt. Everest – all 29,032 feet of it! This amounts to 243 climbs for each team. Every step brings you closer to the “peak” and to helping BTSNE empower youth through wrestling, mentorship, and year-round programming.

Teams will set fundraising goals and compete for awesome prizes as they hit each milestone. Whether you’re racing for glory, chasing prizes, or just having fun with friends, every dollar raised fuels BTSNE’s mission to provide free coaching, gear, travel, and academic support for hundreds of student-athletes in Boston and Providence.

Participants wearing singlets will be credited 1 ascent up Jenckes for their respective teams.

Why the Singlet?

The inaugural Mt. Everest Run was a huge success in 2024 – raising over $170,000. Much of the generosity was inspired by the willingness of BTSNE stakeholders to adorn wrestling singlets in exchange for financial pledges. As a sign of solidarity, and to make this event unique and fun, we are encouraging other participants to do the same.

It’s teamwork, competition, and a whole lot of fun – all for a cause that changes lives. So lace up, rally your crew, and start your climb. Together, we’ll reach new heights!

What if I don’t have a team?

No team, no problem. We will be happy to assign you to an existing team on the day of the event. Likewise, you are welcome to run independently if you just want to be part of the fun.
