We would like to give a shout-out to Crossfit Coach Tanner Baldauf. We are tremendously thankful! As we waited for a safe return to programming, Tanner continues to host workouts to our more dedicated middle school wrestlers.
As part of the Providence After School Alliance (PASA) AfterZone program, Beat the Streets Providence is offering in-person sessions through November 5th. The program is available at four locations.
Wrestle Back was held on Tuesday, September 15th, 5-9pm at Flatbread Pizza. A percentage of sales came back to Beat the Streets and helped our organization. We were able to raise $300!
Beat the Streets Providence and Boston Youth Wrestling are growing into their new regional role as Beat the Streets New England. BTSNE's first ever formal event was a 2020 Coaches' Retreat held September 11th-13th in beautiful Sanford, ME.
We applaud and are happy to be working with the Providence Police Department. We are lucky to have such a great department who are very involved in the community and public affairs.
We created the Million Minutes Challenge because we wanted the Beat the Streets youth to stay healthy and in shape during quarantine. The Providence community accounted for nearly 160,000 of the 12 participating cities’ 1,011,291 minutes of physical, social-emotional, and mental challenges via social media.
Maxwell is a 2019-2020 AmeriCorps VISTA member serving as an Impact Evaluator with Beat The Streets Providence. Throughout his service year, Maxwell aims to refine data management and assessment practices, engage in volunteer recruitment, complete grant applications, and take part in other systems building.
