TIP of the Week

The process of rolling out Beat the Streets New England has started! We are very excited about this merger with Boston Youth Wrestling. I personally have been very well supported, given resources and physically and mentally taken care of. We will keep our BTS Providence individuality so we will not have a drastic change. Stay tune for more great things on the rise!

Please follow and share these links! We are officially Beat the Streets New England as of today.

  • May 8th: Youth New Englands!

    • Although the tournament venue is still to be determined, it seems certain that YNEW 2021 will be a smaller version of recent tournaments.  We will likely be dealing with capacity restrictions and crowd control challenges related to COVID.  And there’s a good chance that we’ll be operating in a different kind of facility, like a sports training center.

Covid Updates from Providence Public School District

Starting January 4, students will return to distance learning. Students who are not enrolled in the Virtual Learning Academy will  follow a phased-in return to in-person learning through January 14.

On the day that your student returns to in-person learning, he or she will be able to participate in free asymptomatic COVID-19  testing, provided parents have given their consent (permission slips will be sent separately via text message). These tests, will  continue approximately twice a month. This testing is valuable on two fronts: (1) it will help monitor the presence of COVID-19 in schools and (2) reduce the spread in school settings. Please note that families who provide initial consent can opt out at any time.
