Roxbury, Ma —

To our athletes, parents, guardians, partners, and supporters:

Boston Youth Wrestling is monitoring the situation with Covid-19 (Coronavirus) closely and has made the decision to postpone all practices starting Friday March 13th.

Practices affected are:

Tuesday: Co-Ed practices at John D. O’Bryant from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Wednesday: Wrestl(H)er practices at John D. O’Bryant from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Saturday: Co-Ed at Blue Hill Boys and Girls Club from 9:30 am to 11:30 am

We hope to resume practices on March 24th.

With wrestling being a contact sport we must think about the safety and health of our athletes and coaches. We are working closely with our partner sites to thoroughly clean and disinfect all practice areas and equipment. We strongly encourage our wrestlers to wash their gear including wrestling shoes, bags, headgear, and anything else they use for wrestling. We know that after this brief hiatus BYW will come back to finish the spring season strong.

For some wrestling is not just a sport, but a place where they feel a part of something bigger. Boston Youth Wrestling will continue to provide resources to our community over the next few weeks.
